My weekend travel-plans were ruined by shitty weather, however, I managed to go and visit Stonehenge, the mysterious place near Salisbury. Even though it is just a bunch of rocks lying around in some weird patterns, it was quite impressive. The best thing though was the audio-guide that you get when you enter the place. It has very interesting history, go to its Wiki-page to find out more.

Three 8s in one day ;-). What a special occasion to celebrate many things — from first day of 2008 Olympics to having another workweek over. If you fancy photography, you should definitely take a look at Flickr 888, which is a public group created for all Flickr users. Its purpose is to celebrate „another 24 Hours of Flickr – Flickr 888 on Friday, August 8th, 2008 (8-8-8!), a most auspicious day!“ All needed information about the group can be found here.
I’ve personally contributed with one picture of Southampton at night. Is was little post-edited in Photomatix in order to achieve more vivid and detailed contrast / shadows. I simply think it’s brilliant ;-).
This weekend, I’m planning to visit Isle of Wight tomorrow (it’s last day of Skandia Cowes Week, one of the biggest sailing events in the world). You bet there will be shitloads of photos uploaded by then ;-).

As you have probably read in the previous post, I went to Bristol last Saturday. And I had a wonderful day. If you click on the picture below, you’ll be taken to my Flickr page with a must-see photoset that has more than 70 pictures of both harbourside-based EDF Energy Festival and historic downtown.
And I’ve learned an invaluable lesson from my housemate as well — if you live in UK, do not ever make a travel plans by listening to the weather forecast… you would end up doing nothing. Just select an event you’d like to see, buy your train/bus ticket and hope ;-). I did that for my trip to Bristol and it worked out great, even though when I set off in the morning, it was foggy and heavily raining.
