… who dares to be awesome!

This Sunday was quite special. First off, it all started with pancakes that I’ve done for my very first time. And it went quite well ;-). More on that matter a bit later.

Right after I’d breakfasted, I set off for Race For Life 5k, which was organized by Cancer Research UK. As you can tell from the title, it wasn’t about racing, it was about charity and endeavour to bring cancer research a bit forward. Great idea with great people behind it, event-organization was flawless.
Only bad thing was that only women could run… so I decided to participate as a supporter and ladies’ ‘cheeruper’ ;-). And man, what a surprise when I got there.

I really did not think that for 5k women race would show up more than 10 thousand fellow-runners! That’s 3 times more people than Prague International Marathon had!!! Anyway, after this speechless moment of astonishment, I went on and took few pictures (all of them on my Flickr).
All in all, it was a great day! It was definitely one of the most enjoyable days in my life. And also, I’ve found out about Nike+ 10k Human Race in London by the end of August, which I’m very likely to join with my running shoes on.

As weather shettered our plans for visiting Winchester and its very own Hat Fair, I and Martin decided to bake and treat ourselves. Choice was quite obvious — brownies. We had them few times in Prague during numerous social events with FCC.

It was quite easy as we had bought pre-prepared package which required us to add just few tablespoons of water ;-). Suprisingly, the result was incredible as you might see above. Next week’s goal: pan-cakes.

Even though the weather is quite bad (well, typically British…) this weekend, I’ve been enjoying my two days off tremendously since I woke up. I’ve found out that:
I know, it’s been a while since I wrote something… but I have been rather busy lately. However, weekends are free, and I now realize that more than ever. And I’m gonna make sure that I’ll make the most out of it :-), you’ll see tomorrow.
